2. Fundamental Outlook: Gold & Silver

Bearish bias, but volatility remains high

Our current preference remains to sell into a recovery rather than chase the upside bounce.

The recent rebound in Gold and Silver, in our assessment, may be a selling opportunity rather than confirmation of a sustained bullish reversal. However, the market remains caught between two opposing forces.

Force 1 — Inflation and interest-rate concerns

Persistent inflation concerns, higher oil prices and expectations of tighter monetary policy could support the US Dollar and bond yields. If markets interpret the Federal Reserve’s decision or commentary as hawkish, precious metals could face renewed selling pressure.

Force 2 — Buyers continue to support Gold

Despite the downside pressure, a group of buyers continues to enter the Gold market. This buying interest may limit declines and trigger sharp rebounds when selling momentum weakens.

Our view is that Gold remains caught between these competing forces: buyers attempting to support prices and sellers using recovery rallies to reduce positions or sell into momentum.

What should traders watch?

– Federal Reserve decision:A hawkish message could pressure Gold and Silver, while a more dovish message could trigger a recovery.
– US Dollar and bond yields: A sustained rise may be a headwind for precious metals; a decline may support a rebound.
– Crude oil: Rising oil prices may intensify inflation concerns, although the market reaction depends on the underlying cause.
– Price action at key levels: Watch whether rallies attract fresh buying or encounter renewed selling pressure.

Fundamental conclusion: Our near-term bias remains bearish, but confirmation must come from price action. The Federal Reserve announcement could invalidate the immediate bearish setup if buyers gain control.

3. MCX Gold — Trading Strategy

Expected Trading Range: ₹140,500–₹144,800

Our Preference: Sell on Rise

– Preferred sell zone: ₹144,100
– Targets: ₹141,500 and ₹140,500
– Stop-loss:Above ₹144,600, subject to sustained trading above the level.

The preferred setup is to sell a recovery toward ₹144,100, provided price action confirms selling pressure. A sustained move above the stop-loss threshold would weaken this setup.

Alternative Scenario: Buy at Support

– Buy level: ₹140,600
– Target: ₹144,000
– Stop-loss: ₹139,900

Consider this alternative only if the support area holds and price action indicates a credible rebound. A break below support would invalidate the setup.

Important Trading Zones

| Level | Strategy |
| ₹139,800 | Breakout Sell |
| ₹141,500 | Buy for Momentum, only with confirmation |
| ₹145,600 | Breakout Buy |

Gold strategy:Prefer selling recoveries while the bearish structure remains intact. Avoid treating the stated range as guaranteed; a sustained breakout may lead to an expanded move.

4. MCX Silver — Trading Strategy

Expected Trading Range: ₹184,000–₹201,000

Our Preference: Sell on Rise

– Preferred sell level: ₹198,000
– Backup sell zone: ₹201,000
– Target: ₹190,000
– Stop-loss for the ₹201,000 setup: ₹201,800

The preferred strategy is to sell a recovery toward ₹198,000. The alternative sell zone is ₹201,000, with the stated stop-loss applying to that backup setup.

Wait for confirmation of selling pressure before entering. A sustained move above the backup zone’s stop-loss would invalidate that setup.

### Alternative Scenario: Buy Near Support

– Buy level:₹185,000
– Target: ₹195,000
– Stop-loss: ₹181,000

This is a counter-trend recovery setup. It requires support to hold and buying momentum to emerge; it should not be interpreted as a change in the overall bearish bias.

Important Trading Zone

| Level | Strategy |
| ₹189,000 | First-stroke Buy, with stop-loss at ₹187,800 |

Treat the ₹189,000 buy as a tactical setup requiring confirmation, not an unconditional instruction to buy.

Silver strategy: Selling recoveries remains the preferred approach while downside momentum persists. Support-based buying is an alternative for traders who see a confirmed rebound.

5. Today’s Trading Discipline

1.Do not chase the initial move: Economic announcements can produce rapid reversals.
2. Respect stop-loss levels: Reassess the setup if price sustains beyond its invalidation level.
3. Watch the Federal Reserve: The statement and press conference may produce separate market reactions.
4. Confirm breakouts:A brief move through a level is not necessarily a sustained breakout.
5. Manage position size: High-volatility sessions can cause slippage and larger-than-expected losses.

Final View — Tradeline Capital

Our current preference is to **sell Gold and Silver on recovery rallies**, as we do not yet consider the recent bounce sufficient confirmation of a sustained bullish reversal.

Nevertheless, persistent buying interest may continue to support Gold and trigger sharp recoveries. Today’s Federal Reserve decision, US Dollar, bond yields and price behaviour at the stated trading zones will be critical in determining the next move.

Bias: Bearish, subject to confirmation
Preferred approach: Sell on rise
Key event: Federal Reserve decision and press conference
Trading principle: Follow price confirmation and risk management rather than bias alone.
